Michiko Schwab is a leadership/executive coach with 15 years of experience, an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies.

Combining a broad set of tools and skills with her extensive experience as a leadership coach, she is eager to contribute to coachees’ creating their own vision and starting a journey towards the best version of themselves as leaders and individuals.  

She has also worked with global organizations as an intercultural trainer and consultant, to improve communications, remove obstacles to productivity, and increase effectiveness of executives and employees at all levels. Her deepest expertise is with US and Japanese clients, but she has worked with organizations across Asia and North America.  The results of these programs include executives and managers becoming better leaders and communicators across cultures, and increased employee satisfaction/engagement, and improved team effectiveness and efficiency.

As a coach and intercultural trainer, Michiko has extensive experience working with biopharmaceutical companies, including Bayer, BMS, Chugai, CSL Behring, Daiichi-Sankyo, Eisai, Eli Lilly, Merck, and Pfizer.

Starting her career in multi-national corporations, she has over 11 years of corporate work experience across sales, business development planning, research and human resources, she also has deep cultural expertise especially in Japan, the United States and China.

Living in the U.S. since 1992, she worked at Itochu International Inc. as a human resources coordinator. She also worked for the Japanese Business Unit of DRT (now Deloitte & Touche LLP), as a marketing and administrative assistant.

Her bilingual book "Heart to Heart English" or 心が伝わる英語の話し方 was published by IBC Publishing, Japan in 2020.
