JP Errico is a well-established executive, author, attorney, entrepreneur, and inventor named on over 250 US patents, and hundreds more issued worldwide—including the Truvaga handheld vagus nerve stimulator. His patented products have generated over $20 billion in sales. Along with Leigh Ann Errico and Amy Yeager, he recently developed a groundbreaking new curriculum, From Surviving to Thriving, to teach people how to harness the power of their nervous system and the vagus nerve to enhance their overall health and improve their well-being.
JP has co-founded or served in various executive and Board capacities for multiple companies, including Fastenetix (in part sold to Synthes, now part of Johnson & Johnson NYSE:JNJ, and Medtronic NYSE:MDT), K2M Group, (formerly NASDAQ:KTWO, now part of Strker NYSE:SYK), Morphogenesis (now CohBar, Inc NASDAQ:CWBR), SpineCore (now part of Stryker).
JP has also served in multiple key roles (CEO, Chief Science and Strategy Officer, Board Member), for electroCore (NASDAQ:ECOR), a leading neuromodulation company specializing in non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation. More than 100 of his patents form the core of the company’s portfolio and have been pivotal to the company’s success.
JP is also the co-host of The Health Upgrade podcast and author of The Vagus-Immune Connection: Harness Your Vagus Nerve to Manage Stress, Prevent Immune Dysregulation, and Avoid Chronic Disease. He previously wrote the legal treatise, The Pacific Rim Intellectual Property Law Handbook. For the past two decades, his principle work has been focused on ways individuals can optimize their health, mental; and emotional wellbeing, and productivity through gaining control over their immune and metabolic functions through their autonomic nervous systems. With his considerable experience, JP has held senior positions in various healthcare companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He provides strategic advisory services to companies, Boards, and management teams, covering multiple areas of expertise, including private and public capital markets, clinical and regulatory affairs, R&D, manufacturing, M&A negotiations, and intellectual property portfolio management.
JP holds an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and graduate degrees in both law and mechanical/materials engineering from Duke University.
